T1 Internet

T1 Internet is a type of telephone line that is used for accessing Internet. It is a digital line that facilitates high-speed access to Internet. Signals are transferred at a speed of 1.544Mbps through this telephone line. Therefore, this line is able to serve about 24 trunks, or telephone lines at any point of time.

T1 internet services have got many types, but the basic T1 line is generally used for handling either your voice or data.
Integrated T1: This T1 internet service provides voice and data at the same digital circuit.
Fractional T1: It uses only the percentage of total T1 internet bandwidth.
Burstable T1: It is a pay as you go service and can give you greater bandwidth at the time of traffic congestion.
Bonded T1: Multiple T1 internet lines are combined together to offer full bandwidth for high performance.

T1 Internet services usually come as a package that includes Internet access, local telephone connection, and long distance services. Many of the T1 Internet services providers also offer some discounts to T1 Internet users, especially when these lines are used for long distance data or voice transfers. Charges for such access are calculated at the rate per minute, and therefore, discounts are also given at rate per minute.
